Breakdown of marriage support group

Breakdown of Marriage Support provides services for partners of ADF members in relationship distress. While it is hoped that long-term relationships don't break down, sometimes they do, and so it is important that partners are aware of BOM Support.

"While we're called breakdown of marriage support, we aim support partners in any type of long-term partnership with an ADF member, whether currently serving or former serving," said BOM Support Director Tiffany Sharp. When an ADF relationship breaks down the partners who often rely on the ADF member for access to support services are often forgotten."

BOM Support aims to:

  • To provide support for ADF spouses experiencing a Breakdown Of Marriage
  • To provide information, services, in the transition to civilian single life
  • To provide education, awareness of ADF BOM issues to Government & private sector groups
  • To advocate for services, recognition, research, awareness of ADF BOM issues
  • To assist in the prevention of ADF Breakdown Of Marriage

Partners of DEFGLIS members are also encouraged to join, so DEFGLIS can provide support to partners in the event of deployment, or unaccompanied posting.
